La «Máscara Bambara» es una obra fechada a finales del siglo XIX y procedente de Costa de Marfil, en madera tallada que se expone en la Sala 207: La ruptura cubista del espacio. La máscara africana está acompañada por diversas obras de arte como una pintura de Picasso, películas de Búster Keaton y Léger y dos esculturas en madera del Museo Antropológico Nacional.

Bambara Mask. MNCARS. May 28th, 2009- December 31th, 2019

The «Mask Bambara» is an artwork dated at the end of the 19th century that comes from Ivory Coast, in carved wood that is exhibited in Room 207: The cubist rupture of space. The African mask is accompanied by diverse artworks such as Picasso’s painting, Búster Keaton and Léger’s films and two wooden sculptures from the National Anthropological Museum.

20151113_102701Dentro de nuestra política de mostrar nuestros fondos fuera de los muros de nuestro museo, presentamos la exposición de una nueva obra que podéis disfrutar desde ya y de manera indeterminada en el IOBA.

Se trata de una Cabeza masculina de la Cultura Ifé, fechada entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX.

Situado en el hall del Instituto puede ser visitada tanto por espectadores como por pacientes.

Esperamos que podáis disfrutar de esta nueva experiencia.


Human head at the University Institute of Applied Ophthalmobiology. IOBA. From November 13th, 2015

Within our policy of showing our funds outside the walls of our museum, we present the exhibition of a new work that you can enjoy from now and indefinitely in the IOBA.

It is a Male Head of the Ifa Culture, dated between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

It is located in the hall of the institute and can be visited by both spectators and patients.

We hope you can enjoy this new experience.

Externe Ausstellungen

Die “Máscara Bambara” iste in Werk aus geschnitztem Holz, das von der Elfenbeinküste stammt, datiert wird es auf Ende des 19. Jh. und ist ausgestellt im Saal 207: Der kubistische Bruch des Raumes. Die afrikanische Maske wird von verschiedenen Kunstwerken, wie einem Gemälde von Picasso, Filmen von Búster Keaton und Léger und zwei Skulpturen aus Holz vom Museo Antropológico Nacional, begleitet.

Innerhalb unserer Politik, unseren Fundus ausserhalb der Mauern unseres Museums zu zeigen, präsentieren wir die Ausstellung eines neuen Werkes, das ihr jetzt schon und auf unbestimmte Zeit im IOBA bewundern könnt.

Es handelt sich um Cabeza masculina der Kultur Ifé, datiert zwischen Ende des 19., und Anfang des 20. Jh.

Ausgestellt in der Halle des Institutes, kann er sowohl von Patienten, wie auch von Zuschauern, besichtigt werden.

Wir hoffen, ihr könnt diese neue Erfahrung geniessen.
